Sunridge Middle School had its Career Day on Thursday, April 19. During the event, 7th and 8th Grade students attended three sessions and listened to a total of 9 speakers. The presenters were from many career fields, including medical, social work, law enforcement, military, science, law, sports, communications and more.
Principal Dave Williams said he hopes the event gives an introduction to some of the career fields students could be considering. "Middle school is the opportune age for youth to start thinking about what they want to pursue in the future, so they can possibly take some courses in high school around that interest. We also want our students to learn about good jobs right here in eastern Oregon."
Sunridge administration thanks all the speakers who gave time to participate in the event and to Leadership students who helped with organization.
