Earlier today, Governor Brown directed the Oregon Health Authority and the Oregon Department of Education to draft rules mandating mandatory face coverings for all K-12 students for the 2021-22 school year. We will be learning the specifics of this mandate in the coming days and will modify our opening plans accordingly.
The school board will be discussing this at the next work session on Tuesday, August 3rd, and at the next regularly scheduled board meeting on Monday, August 9th.
All school districts are still required to submit their opening plans to the Oregon Department of Education by Monday, August 23rd.
